Attaya is a hand stitched leather accessories collective, focusing on quality craftsmanship, beautiful aesthetic, and found and upcycled materials.
Logo Concept
The logo concept was a development from Attaya’s original surface design, focused on the small details and shapes in the threads and patterns of the hand stitching. Each of Attaya’s leather accessory pieces serves to be multi-functional as well as tell a story – each piece being completely different from the next. The visual strategy aims to serve both of these elements.
Logo Construction
The Attaya logo is made up of the solid black icon and text. It is created using symmetry, repetition, and balance, with the letter A being used as a point of reference for the width of the icon. The design elements for the Attaya logo were inspired by the first experimental stitched leather piece hand crafted by it’s co-founders, and is a representation of the elements of modern-meets-handmade, community, and attention to detail within the brand.
1 – TYPEFACE
The Attaya typeface is a classic and modern sans serif typeface, with extra lines extended below the letters A, in a tribal-type representation of tribal textiles and artisans integrated into the products.
2 – HANDMADE
The modern design represents Attaya’s handmade attributes by pulling elements from one of their original stitch designs and simplifying it into a harmonious pattern of lines and shapes.
3 – COMMUNITY
The circular shape represents the brand’s focus on community and collaboration – as a circle of collectivism that is continual. This is a shape that integrates well into aspects of hang tag design and product stamps.
Brand Collateral
One of Attaya’s best attributes is it’s one-of-a-kind products. The icon heat stamp is pressed on the back of each product under chronological numbers to call out this attribute.
